Great location, but the odd one out! This 1970's style house may have been modern in its time, but now was crying out for a transformation to give it the required character to blend into its surrounds within the streetscape of leafy Glen Iris.
The overhaul of the external appearance of the house was our main goal with this property. Firstly the flat unappealing part of the roof from the carport across was removed and a new pitched, tiled roof added. The carport itself was bricked in to create a functional lock up garage, then a front entrance was area created capturing Northern light which now flows into the existing home. Combined, these elements brought new exciting features to the facade leaving just the brickwork and external colour scheme to be addressed.
All the brickwork, old and new was then rendered in a traditional colour to compliment the surrounding houses, whilst creating its own individual personality.
This amazing transformation has turned a rather typical brick veneer facade into a home with heritage personality and striking appearance.
